As parents we have to work doubly hard to get our children to eat healthy because our kids are mesmerized by the media. High priced junk food and fast food marketing is aimed right for their imaginations on what food they will eat. How do we incorporate “foods of importance into our homes and their small bodies?” As parents we can be partners with the media to weakening our child’s immune system, or we can help them and us to rise above the media and enhance and empower their minds and bodies to “What Wholesome Nutrition Is.” We must provide it, fresh daily, in the shelter and love of our own kitchen. Cooking is so vital that I encourage everyone to develop a working knowledge of how to select and prepare basic foods. Education can begin at home as soon as children are able to understand and continue throughout life since cooking is essential to our emotions and physical journeys.
