Special Needs for Good Nutrition for the Elderly

There is ground breaking information in aging and preventing degenerative diseases, other major illnesses and improvement of physical and mental performance. Our need for protein varies with age – 85% of older adults living in nursing homes eat too little protein. Nutrition remains important through out life but good nutrition in later years still can help lessen the effects of diseases that prevail among older Americans. We will learn the foods that elderly people are neglecting and the vitamin and mineral RICH foods they desperately need. Aging increases our needs for many nutrients rich in live enzymes because our digestive ability is demolishing.
